Wizz Air, the airline chosen by over 127 million travellers in Poland since the start of the operations, today announced four new routes from Poland for the summer 2026 season. The airline will launch direct flights from Gdańsk, Katowice and Lublin to Rijeka (Croatia), a new station in the entire Wizz Air network as well as a connection from Katowice to Rimini (Italy). Tickets are already on sale and can be booked at wizzair.com or via the WIZZ mobile app, with fares starting from 109 PLN*.
The new services will start operating from late March and early June 2026 and will offer two to three weekly flights, giving Polish travellers even more options for summer holidays on the Adriatic coast. All flights will be operated by Wizz Air’s modern and efficient Airbus A321neo aircraft, providing a comfortable onboard experience with a lower environmental footprint per seat**.
Rijeka, located on Croatia’s stunning Kvarner Gulf, is a perfect gateway to the Adriatic. With its lively harbourfront, Habsburg-era architecture and easy access to beaches and nearby islands, it is an ideal base for a seaside break or island-hopping adventure. With the launch of these routes, Rijeka becomes a completely new station in Wizz Air’s network, now directly connected to Poland.
Rimini, on Italy’s Adriatic Riviera, combines wide sandy beaches with a charming historic center and vibrant nightlife. From Rimini, travellers can also explore nearby San Marino, traditional hilltop villages and the broader Emilia-Romagna region, famous for its cuisine and culture.
These new routes further strengthen Wizz Air’s presence in Poland and expand the airline’s network of affordable leisure destinations, supporting the development of regional airports such as Gdańsk, Katowice and Lublin.
Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said: “With these new routes, we are further expanding the choice of convenient and great-value travel opportunities for our Polish customers ahead of the 2026 summer season. We are proud to welcome Rijeka as a new station in the Wizz Air network, while also enhancing our offer with Rimini. Rijeka and Rimini offer the perfect combination of beaches, culture and gastronomy – and thanks to our direct flights, they are now even easier to reach. With more than 16 million seats available from Poland this year, we remain strongly committed to the country and continue to grow across the airports and bases we operate from, offering travellers even more flexibility, more destinations and a consistently reliable experience across our young, efficient fleet.”
Wizz Air’s announcement builds on the airline’s strong and ongoing expansion across Poland. Over the past months, Wizz Air has significantly increased its presence at key Polish bases – including, for example, Wroclaw and Gdansk – where it deployed additional aircrafts and launched eight new routes. The airline further strengthened its offer with the introduction of five new connections from Poland to Basel (Switzerland) and to newly announced bases in Podgorica (Montenegro) and Bratislava (Slovakia). These developments highlight Wizz Air’s long-term commitment to the Polish market, as well as its mission to provide travellers with an ever-growing range of destinations, greater flexibility and consistently low fares.
Between January and November 2025, Wizz Air operated nearly 61,000 flights to and from Poland, chosen by almost 13 million passengers this year – an impressive increase of almost 20% compared to the same period in 2024 – while maintaining a completion rate of 99.8%. The airline now operates a fleet of 35 aircraft across its five Polish bases, serving more than 215 routes in 32 countries.
