- One new aircraft, four new routes, increased frequencies on four existing routes from Tirana next winter

Albania’s leading airline, Wizz Air, EMEA’s most environmentally sustainable airline*, together with Tirana International Airport (TIA), today announced the biggest expansion of its operations in Albania, further strengthening its market-leading position in the country and marking another milestone in its commitment to the country. The airline will launch four new routes, supported by the addition of a state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft in the summer of 2026.
The new routes will connect the Albanian capital with four new European destinations. Wizz Air will operate the new routes from Tirana to Stockholm Arlanda (Sweden) with four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, to Cologne (Germany) with three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, to Billund (Denmark) with two flights per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and to Tenerife (Spain) with two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays. The tickets are already on sale on wizzair.com and WIZZ official app, starting from only 2490 LEK.
The 14th Airbus A321neo will be based in Tirana starting from December 2025, enabling Wizz Air to operate a total of 57 routes to 18 countries from Tirana. Wizz Air will further strengthen regional Albania’s connectivity with Denmark, Germany, Spain and Sweden, fostering closer ties between Tirana and these dynamic European markets.
The additional aircraft will support the increase of four exciting routes from Tirana:
- Tirana – Milan Malpensa: from 16 to 21 per week.
- Tirana – Brussels: from 11 to 14 per week.
- Tirana – Turin: from 9 to 11 per week.
- Tirana – Berlin: from 7 to 9 per week.
To celebrate the announcement, Wizz Air is offering a 15% discount on selected flights booked on 9 September, for flights between 17 September and 17 December 2025 and for its Wizz Discount Club members.
