In addition to the special promotion, the airline is marking the occasion with an interactive “Scavenger Hunt” game in Sofia, and hiding special pink vouchers on three flights across its bases
Wizz Air, the most environmentally sustainable airline in the Europe, Middle East, and Asia region*, and one of the leading airlines in Bulgaria, is celebrating its 20th anniversary of operations in the country today with a big surprise for all passengers – up to 20% discount on selected flights to and from the country. The promotion is valid only today, September 19**, for bookings made through the airline’s website and mobile app.
Over the past two decades, Wizz Air has continuously expanded its network and now operates from Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, and Burgas, connecting Bulgaria with 55 attractive destinations across Europe and beyond. Passengers can now also discover new routes in the airline’s network – from Varna and Plovdiv to Bratislava, and from Sofia to Chișinău, Prague, Turin, Marrakesh, and Warsaw, as well as the exotic Palma de Mallorca and sunny Lamezia Terme. In November, the long-awaited flights to Abu Dhabi are also making a return.
Wizz Air’s anniversary week, which kicked off on Monday, has become a true festival for Bulgarian travelers. During this week, on flights from Varna to Milan, as well as from Sofia to Milan and Eindhoven, 24 lucky passengers discovered special pink tickets in their seat pockets. These tickets were hidden by Wizz Air crews to celebrate the occasion and passengers would be able to use these vouchers for next trip with the airline.
Today, the center of Sofia comes alive with the interactive “Scavenger Hunt”*** game, where participants search for four secret locations between 12:00 and 15:00, guided by clues on the airline’s Instagram account. The fastest hunters win two round-trip tickets to four exciting destinations.
Since its launch in Bulgaria in 2005, Wizz Air has established itself as a leading low-cost airline, offering convenient and affordable flights to 19 countries. Today, the airline operates 8 aircraft based in Sofia and Varna and has a team of over 350 employees who ensure quality travel experiences for millions of Bulgarian passengers every year.
